Router Redundancy Protocols in NWC

I liked the article Crash Course: Router Redundancy Protocols by Peter Morrissey, in the 27 April 2006 issue of Network Computing. It's important for security folks to understand how network engineers might use redundancy to improve network reliability and performance. Generally when multiple paths are introduced, it becomes more difficult to inspect and control traffic for security purposes.
